⚖ Positive Behaviour Support

Challenging Behaviour & Learning Difficulties

Patient, PBS-trained support workers for people with learning disabilities and complex behaviours — matched to a small, consistent rota so care stays predictable, calm and dignified.

Why Consistent Support

Predictable Care Calms Everything

Behaviour is communication. When a person has learning disabilities, distress, pain or sensory needs can all show up as behaviour — and unpredictable staff make it worse.

We build small, consistent teams and support each shift with supervision, so the person is supported by people they actually know, in the way the behaviour support plan intends.

  • Small consistent teams with a named PBS lead
  • Annual PBS training and regular refresher sessions
  • Shift-by-shift recording so the team learns patterns
  • Proactive, least-restrictive practice — never reactive restraint
  • MDT working alongside families, social care and commissioners

How It Works

From Assessment to a Rota That Holds

Consistency is a staffing structure, not a happy accident.

Review the Plan

We read the behaviour support plan and meeting history, and meet the person wherever possible before we place anyone.

Match the Team

We select for PBS competence and personality fit — the people who work well with this person specifically.

Supported Induction

Every worker is inducted on the plan, the risks and the person’s communication style before their first shift.

Review the Rota

We keep the rota stable, cover gaps early and adapt when the person’s needs or risk level changes.

Tell Us About the Person

Share the behaviour support plan or just the key points — we’ll suggest a team structure that holds.
