⚖ Independence First

Supported Living

In-home and community support workers that help people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs build a life they choose — at home, at work and out in their community.

Why Supported Living

Support That Builds Independence

Supported living isn’t about doing things for someone. It’s about creating the right conditions, the right skills and the right confidence so they can do things for themselves.

Our workers support people in their own homes, in tenancies and in shared accommodation — and we keep the same small team in place so progress isn’t reset every few weeks.

  • Person-centred plans focused on the individual’s own goals
  • Consistent, matched support workers and realistic timetables
  • Support with daily living skills, budgeting, cooking and travel
  • Community access, education, employment and leisure
  • Shared living and tenancy support that works with commissioners

How It Works

From Moving In to Moving Forward

One plan, one team, reviewed as progress is made.

Meet the Person

We meet the individual, the family and the current team to understand goals, communication, risk and what a good day looks like.

Build the Plan

Support hours, routines and outcomes are agreed with the person at the centre, and shared with family and commissioners.

Match the Team

We place a small, consistent group of workers who match the person’s style, interests and communication needs.

Review & Reduce

As skills and confidence build, we review support regularly and step back where the person no longer needs us.

Let’s Build the Right Support

Tell us about the person and their goals — we’ll put together a team and a timetable around them.
